Step Towards English Proficiency Programme

Course modules:

STEP is designed for students who hope to further consolidate and develop their English language skills, whilst also gaining an understanding of Law, Business & International Relations and Data Science, Artificial Intelligence & Economics.

 

All students will attend morning lectures in (1) Law, Business & International Relations and (2) Data Science, Artificial Intelligence & Economics, and will participate in English & Communication tutorials to develop and strengthen their writing, listening, reading and speaking skills.

 

English & Communication

  • Essay Writing/Article Writing/Journalistic Writing

  • Interviews: From academic interviews for university entrance to career-oriented interviews

  • Debate and oral argumentation

  • Introduction to English Literature

  • Guidance on public-speaking

  • Grammar and Comprehension

  • Preparation for Law court trial

COURSE STRUCTURE

Students will attend lectures in Law, Business & International Relations, as well as Data Science, Artificial Intelligence & Economics in the mornings, and will have to attend English tutorials in the afternoons.
