When should I arrive for my programme?

The day of arrival is Sunday 13 August 2023. You may arrive any time from 12:00 on the day, though we recommend that you aim to arrive before 17:00, as we have organised icebreakers for all new students at this time. When you arrive, you will need to register at our administrative office with a member of our staff. At this point, you will receive your room keys and programme information.

When should I leave at the end of my programme?

The day of departure is Saturday 26 August 2023 and students should check out and return their keys by 10:00 on the day. For international students, you should plan to have your return flight between 10:00am and 4:00pm, and in any case no later than 6:00pm. If your flight is however scheduled late in the evening of Saturday 26 August 2023, you can temporarily store your luggage at our administrative office while enjoying some more time in London.

What's the best way to get to the UK (London)?

The major London airports, Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton are all conveniently located in relation to us. Note that we are only able to arrange for airport pick-ups for arrivals at Heathrow.

For EU students, they can reach London St Pancras Station on the Eurostar. On arrival at London St Pancras, students can take the London Underground (or a taxi) to our campus.

Do I need a visa to travel to the UK?

If you are from the UK, European Union or the European Economic Area, you will not need a visa. For all other nationalities, please go to to check your requirements. If you do require a visa, we can issue a Letter of Invitation to you to support your application as we are fully accredited by the British Accreditation Council.

Will there be an interview as part of the application process?

There will only be a Skype interview for the Lawyers & Economists Advanced Programmes as this is a selective programme. The interview lasts for 20 minutes, during which you will be asked competency-based questions, your motivation in applying to us and a chance for you to ask us any questions that you may have.
There will not be an interview for the Step Towards English Proficiency programme (STEP). However, we would be happy to set up a Skype call with students who would like to speak to a representative regarding any questions that you may have.

I want to change my strand, is that possible?

Accommodtion & Meals

How secure are the campuses?

Our programme takes place in secure and supervised premises. In addition to our residential staff who can be contacted 24 hours a day, the campus entrances are supervised 24 hours a day by porters. All students under the age of 18 are required to check-in regularly during the day through registers that will be taken at meals, classes and before curfew, which is at 11pm.

There will also be safes on campus where students may deposit valuable items such as passports, travel documents, bank cards and so on.

What happens in the case of an accident or an emergency?

Adeline College has residential staff, and this means that there is someone on site 24 hours a day. In addition, there is a 24-hour emergency phone number on campus, which both students and family/friends may call. This telephone number will be emailed to all students before the start of the programme, and will also be available on our website during the summer.

We also ask that all students under the age of 18 provide the contact details of one parent or guardian.

Are parents allowed to visit?

Parents and guardians are invited to attend the welcome reception for new students between 17:00 – 18:00 on the day of arrival. Visits are also welcome during the summer programme if we are given at least 24 hours’ notice.
